6150 Spring steel is a medium/high carbon range steel. It is ideal for creating tough durable blades and is also a great choice for making blacksmithing tool such as punches, chisels and more.
Our 6150 material ships in a ready to work state whether you’re into stock removal or forging. It can be cut using file, hacksaw, metal cutting band saw or a variety of other cutting tools.
Heat treating is very simple and in many ways quite similar to heat treating 5160.
